Podcast #31: Heading for change – ESG mini-series, part two

In this second episode of our ESG three-part series we are joined by Alandia’s Head of Marine Claims, Johan Henriksson, who paints a picture of how the H&M claims department works with ESG in their daily processes.

Johan has been with Alandia since March 2023 and brings to his role as Head of Marine Claims more than 25 years of experience in marine Insurance. Educated in Law (with not one but two LLM’s), he also brings an interesting perspective to the governance aspect of ESG.

His proven track record as a claims manager shows dedication and a passion for this industry, important ingredients for keeping up with developments such as sustainability targets in a rapidly evolving maritime sector!

Having explored Alandia’s integration of the UN Principles for Sustainable Insurance in the previous episode, we now dig a little deeper into what that looks like in daily work routines. Claims handling is a core function that must be consistent in reaching high standards, but how does ESG affect the process? Does it change the way we work with our customers and yards/service providers?

Listen in to hear the answers to these questions and more!
