#7 Podcast: Heading for change to analyse container shipping

To manage risks, we also need to know the market dynamics and the characteristics in the supply chains, closely follow the trends and preferably act before the risks get out of control. In the beginning of this pandemic the container industry was suffering from chronic over capacity, and the analytics were worried about the status quo. Now in the second half of the year container shipping market is booming. The increased container freight rates will probably not come without risks. Marine insurance industry has during the latest years seen an increase in container fires. It goes without saying: burning container onboard is dangerous and as we speak, the world is still waiting for an end solution to this complex problem.

We contacted Lars Jensen to get some update in the container shipping industry.

Lars Jensen is a widely known and recognised liner shipping analyst, professor at CBS Blue MBA program, and consultant. Lars is also known afficionado of complex problems.
