Necessary medical costs

The insurance compensates necessary medical costs for treating an injury, such as doctor’s fees, examination fees, medicine prescribed by a doctor and treatment-related travel expenses.

Furthermore, an employee’s worn glasses, prosthetic limbs and other similar means of assistance that have been damaged in an accident where physical injury is established, are compensated. Clothes and shoes which have been destroyed by cutting during first aid treatment are also compensated.

Costs due to an accident at work are compensated in accordance with the principle of total cost.

The compensation for costs due to leisure time accidents are coordinated with other statutory insurances from which the injured is entitled to compensation for the same injury.

The Statutory Accident insurance compensates medical costs and loss of income caused by an occupational accident or disease.
