The Joint War Committee (JWC) has amended the Listed Areas and we hereby give notice of cancellation with effect from 27th April, 2023 in order to revise the Areas of Perceived Enhanced Risk to come into line with the JWC ‘Listed Areas’ dated the 25th April 2023, a copy of which is enclosed.
The following changes are incorporated in the new list as attached:

Sea of Azov and Black Sea Waters plus inland waters as defined overleaf:
2) All inland waters of Ukraine, including inland waters within Crimea and other Ukrainian territories under Russian control
3) Inland waters of Russia within the following areas:
a. River Don, from Sea of Azov to vertical line at 41° E
b. River Donets, from River Don to Ukraine border
The new ‘Listed Areas’ will be incorporated into all of the war risk policies where we are Leading Underwriter and the insurances will be automatically reinstated upon expiry of the notice as per the Navigation Limitations for Hull War, Strikes, Terrorism and Related Perils Endorsement (JW2005/001A) and the Hull War, Strikes, Terrorism and Related Perils Notice of Cancellation Administration Clause (JW2022/007A).
In line with the notice provision within JW2005/001A, the new listed areas will take effect on all war risk policies from 11th May, 2023.
